Feliz Navidad

I spent Christmas Eve with the Navarro's this year. I can't remember the last time I sat down in front of a Christmas tree opening gifts one at a time. Despite giving me an awesome camera, Vanessa still wrapped up two presents for me :). I got Vanessa a Custom-fitted recurve bow with all the accessories. Pictures will come soon, I promise. The next day was at my brother's house. There a lot of different and delicious food (as always). Vanessa and I just spent time with all the kids there for the first half. The second half we joined in on some Texas Hold'em with the family. Vanessa sat alongside me, learning the game, as we came up 20 bucks at the end! The kids opened the gifts we got them and it looked like the Minecraft swords were a good choice. It was a nice Christmas this year.

Secret Santa

This is a bit overdue (again).  For the first time, I participated in a Secret Santa event.  The people involved were Vanessa, Briamy, Tuanolyn, and Lawrence.  It was nice way to change the original gift exchanges, with the main reason being more financially viable.  With the price range at 40 to 50, everyone got pretty creative with what they were limited to. We drew names a few weeks ago at Yard House, and we met up at our favorite KBBQ spot to reunite, feast, and to exchange our gifts at Boba Time.

Brian and Tuan were each others Santas.

Vanessa and Carolyn were each others Santas.

Amy was Santa for Lawrence

I was Santa for Amy.

And Lawrence was Santa for me, bringing me back into my childhood passion.

Super Lightweight

Besides my mother giving me the gift of life, I had received the best gift ever last week. Vanessa bought me the Canon Rebel SL1 (stands for Super Lightweight) as an early Xmas/Birthday/Valentines gift!  It is quite an upgrade to my old Rebel, and the 18mp shots so far have been amazing.  This has motivated me back into the photoshoots scene for sure. Thank you lover!

(This shot was taken in little to no lighting in the environment!)

Fifth Annual Wongsgiving

It has already been 5 years of this tradition. I never knew it would've continued for this long and it looks like everyone enjoys it. This year was by far the most prepared and the most prettiest one of all, thanks to Vanessa. She helped so much in decorating and providing the decor as well. The turn out of 18 people was great company and the weather was once again cooperative this year. Thanks to everyone for the food, drinks, and supplies! It was another great Thanksgiving weekend, until next time.

Battle of the Sexes

This post is a month overdue.  Braimy, Tuanolyn, Vanessa and I took a mini vacation for a weekend.  Thanks to Groupon, we were able to get a pretty good deal on Venetian-style rooms at Lake Vegas.  This little village/resort had enough to keep us busy for the few days we were there.  We surprisingly didn't even visit the strip, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.  The weekend was filled with board games, paddleboarding for some, relaxing at the jacuzzi, eating at fancy restaurants, and a much needed bonding.
