Michelle came over today. For a good six hours, we sang, we played, we ate, we watched, and we studied. During those events, however, one thing very bizarre occurred. We were at my kitchen when Michelle looked outside the window. She noticed a bird in my backyard that she thought was disabled. We went out to take a look at the situation.
See those two birds? They were standing completely still as if they were frozen in place. I approached closer to the point where my fingers were two inches away from their bodies, but they didn't budge. They looked furious, and Michelle was pretty cautious that they would attack us.
We continued to examine the area to see what's causing them to be so tense, then I noticed this.
I saw this egg, and it was laying not too far away from where they were (about a foot away). So perhaps they were protecting this egg, and by us approaching them, they held their stance, trying to intimidate us. So, after a few shots with my camera, we left them at peace.
