I'm just another soldier.

I was handed a speeding ticket today, my first ever citation from the law. Oh well, it happens.

My third and final interview tomorrow with Stacy, the regional manager. Here it goes.

My mom used to say.

We never talk, you are scared of my probing,
but you are older and wiser so I just keep hoping
the truth will come out.
I am ready to hear it all now.

Please, tell me five things that made you stay.
Then tell me five of your greatest mistakes.
I am feeling doubtful and I need new faith
that only a mother could give me,
that only a son could take.

I will tell you one thing your dad used to say,
I will give you one thing I hold to this day
Your father held my hand, he said,
'I know we're not perfect,
but I love you, I love you anyway.
I love you, I love you anyway.'

Close to nothing at all.

It's been awhile since I've had someone in my arms.
It's been awhile since I've asked for this.

Someone that is interested in how my day went.
Someone that is willing to just come over and do nothing at all.
Someone to control my spontaneous spending.
Someone to join me in my spontaneous spending.

I want you to meet my friends.
I want my friends to love you.
I want to take pictures of you, every morning and every night.
I want someone for me to sing to.
I want someone to sing back to me.
I want to play you music until you fall asleep.

I don't want to see the world alone.
I don't want to make decisions alone.

I can feel your halo.

Michelle came over today. For a good six hours, we sang, we played, we ate, we watched, and we studied. During those events, however, one thing very bizarre occurred. We were at my kitchen when Michelle looked outside the window. She noticed a bird in my backyard that she thought was disabled. We went out to take a look at the situation.

See those two birds? They were standing completely still as if they were frozen in place. I approached closer to the point where my fingers were two inches away from their bodies, but they didn't budge. They looked furious, and Michelle was pretty cautious that they would attack us.

We continued to examine the area to see what's causing them to be so tense, then I noticed this.

I saw this egg, and it was laying not too far away from where they were (about a foot away). So perhaps they were protecting this egg, and by us approaching them, they held their stance, trying to intimidate us. So, after a few shots with my camera, we left them at peace.

Screw you guys, I'm going home.

I have always been an avid fan of South Park. Arguably one of the most controversial and satirical shows on air. They have never limited themselves in bringing up subjects that other shows fail to do. That is why I enjoy watching them. Matt Stone and Trey Parker have done quite a lot in free speech in the media-world, but even they couldn't do what everyone was hoping would happen. A Muslim activist group threatened the network of the creator's safety before the episode was aired. With that, an episode was pulled for the first time yesterday and this is what the creators had to say.

Matt and Trey:
"In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. We will see what happens."

Let this be it.

I had an interview with Angie at Enterprise today, it went overall pretty well. She is scheduling me to meet with the area manager, Tyler, for my second interview next week. Please let this all work out.

I'm heating up.

Played 8 games of beerpong yesterday, and the result was pretty intoxicating. Good people, good times.

Kind hearts.

Yesterday could've been one of those days where nothing will go your way, but fortunately there are still people out there with good intentions.

Dressed in professional attire, I attended the job fair at Cal Poly. There were about 40 different companies and about 400 undergrads zigzagging through them. I was one of those 400 undergrads, and Enterprise was one of those companies. I found a great connection with their representative, Angie, and she showed much interest in me. We followed up with our meeting for a formal interview next week.

Later that night, Glenn picked me up and we headed out to Chino Hills. We went to Best Buy and we zoned out at the video game demos they had set up. Then I made my purchases and we proceeded to Glenn's car. But before I opened the passenger's side door, I realized I didn't have my phone with me. And in that split second, both Glenn and I realized that I had set my phone on top of one of those stations where we were playing the games. I quickly rushed back to that exact location, only to find nothing. I retraced my steps back to the entrance, disappointed in myself, but a father and son came up from behind and asked me if I was looking for my phone. My spirits were quickly lifted and I answered YES! with a smile. They said that they had given it to one of the managers. I received my phone back, with great admiration of those two.

Right after that little heart attack, we had to make a pit stop to the nearest Red Box because I had to return a movie. The deadline was at 9p.m. while the time was currently 8:54p.m. We quickly arrived at the nearby Albertson's and I jumped out of the car as soon and Glenn pulled over. There was a LINE! I already gave up and accepted the fact that I would just get charged for another night, no biggie. But the customers in front of me let me return my movie first because she acknowledged the deadline. They were just going to browse through the movies but they were considerate enough to think about my situation.

Thanks to those people, things are looking more optimistic around here.

Jamming sessions.

I have finally decided to upload some of my recordings. They will be displayed in and only in this blog. Well, these two have been my favorite so far, and they consist of two great female singers that I am fortunate to have as friends. :)

Need You Now - Alexis Lee

Shy That Way - Hannah Choo

I'm outnumbered.

This is as close as it gets. My first professional gig.

A meeting ground.

It's been sort of mellow and nonchalant the past few weeks or so, which isn't a bad thing. My last quarter of school started and the classes don't look too stressful, compared to my horrific last quarter. So in about nine weeks or so, I will be walking on that platform. My mother deviously implied that she wanted me to walk the ceremony, and so, I will respectfully do so.

Oh, and I have been consistently putting effort into the gym lately. I don't know where it's coming from, but motivation is sure making a big visit. Violin is still making a slow progress, but be damn sure that I am not giving up on that. I've also been replaying Kingdom Hearts because Lilli-anne and Calvin wants to watch. They are odd kids. They would rather watch the whole thing than to play it, haha (I actually replayed FFX all the way through last year because of them).

Here's another list of things for me to do again.
  • For my car - Oil Change, Full Car Wash, Change Brakes.
  • Finally purchase the new telephoto 55m-250m lens.
  • Go to Disneyland and San Diego Zoo.
  • Re-organize my pictures and songs (get an external hard drive).
  • Purchase a mouse for my laptop.
  • Photoshoot at a graffiti-filled train yard.
  • Fucking graduate.

Sooner or later.

Things will ultimately end up where they belong. I'm still waiting.

Please touch with two fingers.

The original plan for the San Diego Zoo was sabotaged due to the rainy weather forecast. So, in its place, the Long Beach Aquarium was our next choice. Ashraf, Michelle, and Steven came along and I enjoyed today, a mellow and fun day.

When we arrived to the aquarium, I felt like I knew this area all too well. Near the aquarium were the boat tours, I went on one of those before. It wasn't for any whale-watching or site-seeing pleasure, it wasn't for fun. In the horizon, the waters behind the aquarium, was where my father's remains were scattered. Our family took that boat to the ocean, far enough so that no swimmers or kayaks could travel, but close enough to still be able to see the aquarium. Every time I find myself in that general area of Long Beach, it all comes back.
