"It's clobbering time!"

This past weekend was the long awaited "Halloween weekend."  Despite how much we've talked about it, it still managed to sneak up on us.  The batman theme was a success!

Lawrence - 60's Batman
Brian - Batman Beyond
Amy - Batwoman
Waldo - The Dark Knight

Jena - Catwoman
Marty - Hipster Robin
Myself - Hipster Batman

This past weekend had its ups and downs, but overall it was pretty eventful.  Lets just say that I am glad I didn't throw that punch.

Twenty four hours

I haven't stayed up for this long for quite some time. It's really hard for me to take in this information without letting it bother me. I need to grow the fuck up. I also made a huge lie, and now I'm paying for it. Not only is it embarrassing, but I've tainted your trust to me. What a disaster of an ending.

The Goofy walk.

I made my first visit to Disneyland in over six years.  I'm sure I will catch up on all the excitement fairly soon since I've purchased the annual pass, :).  Despite the overabundance of people at the park, I didn't mind the waiting at all.  It was our first full day together and I enjoyed every minute of it.  We decided to just focus on California Adventure for the whole day, ending it with World of Color.  We were able to ride Toy Story (in which I won!), watch the Aladdin show, discover that I resemble closest to Nemo, voiced-over Beauty and the Beast, ride Monster's Inc and Little Mermaid, meet an Australian couple on the Ferris Wheel, and have a near-death experience at some Goofy ride.  World of Color was pretty amazing, it made me want to watch all the Disney movies again.  But it was then where I asked her the question.  I've been waiting for an opportunity the whole day, and it seemed fitting right then and there.

Vanessa Navarro is my girlfriend!

No Fast-Food Diet #2

So I've decided to quit fast food for a brief amount of time.  I am aiming for six months this time.  And given that I was able to do five months last year, this goal seems relatively reachable.  So far I am two weeks into the diet, and I have yet to feel the dire urge to go.  Let's keep this up!  Since I can't seem to motivate myself to go to the gym, I figured this can be a starting point in increasing my health, haha.

It's Now or Never

We met our respective parents this past weekend.  She had invited me to a horse show in which her family is competing in.  I met her mom for the first time there; as well as her aunts, uncles, and family friends.  They were all very welcoming, and despite how nervous I was, I felt comfortable rather quickly.  From what she has told me, I think I passed the test. :).

Yesterday was her turn.  She came over to my house with a bottle of Stella Rosa on one hand, flowers on the other, all for my mother, :).  With "Hello" and "Thank You" being the only words that were exchanged, I think it went pretty well, haha.  We had a second bottle of red wine for ourselves, and I took her to my room.  I was never self-conscious about showing off my room, but yesterday night was a first.  Luckily, she liked everything.  From my instruments to my pictures, she would sweetly compliment as we slowly indulge our wine.  ("Mom? Mom!!!") I've never felt this completely stress-less and relaxed in a long long time.  With the Beatles and Elvis playing on my record player, the night turned out perfect.

"You're a good girl, good night."

Roller-coaster of a ride.

I witnessed something so sad yesterday that it made me nearly speechless for two hours.  Rest in peace, Boba. Although I've only met you twice, I've heard countless cute stories about you and saw a plethora of pictures of you playing.  She loved you very much and she is constantly thinking about you.

Contrary to the sad news, my mom told me today that I am going to be an Uncle again for the 5th time.  That's right, Jason has done it again.  Another cycle will continue with a newborn in the family!
