Slam the flower!!

This past weekend was pretty awesome.  Saturday was our second, and much harder, obstacle run.  With a name like Mud Factor, they focused heavily on mud.  The combo of hot weather and poor organization led to a horrible start, but the overall run was pretty fun for me.  I'm not sure how long this trend will continue to keep up with us, but I think it is actually improving my stamina tenfold.

A few hours later was our usual drinknight with the group.  Waldo was the host this time around.  Played a few games of beerpong and chandeliers until Rocke introduced us to a new game, Flower.  Skeptical to how it was played, the group was at first nonchalant about it, but it quickly became a hit.  This will definitely be a game to include for future kickbacks.

I had the pleasure to grab breakfast with both Brians and had a good chat afterwards.  I then made a visit to Lawrence's pad that night to check out his new set up of magical equipment.  The night was spent slaying monsters and escaping demons. :)

Such a relieving sight.

I've been noticing a positive vibe lately.  My friends are able to comfortably hang out alongside each other, with or without my presence.  It was something that I had wished to happen years ago, but never had such luck.  But now is better than ever, because I am definitely seeing strength in this.  From the improv to volleyball, beerpong to summer trips, we are all getting more used to doing the inviting without my approval, :).

There were of course some people that I have obviously tried to bring in, but with no avail.  No matter the consistency of my attempts, there was no commitment from the other end.

I know I've killed a few.

I've been on a hiatus with photography lately, as one would have noticed with the dullness of my posts lately.  Despite the fact, I was able to meet up with an old coworker a few weekends back.  Casey is possibly the most experience and knowledgeable photographer that I personally know.  We walked around Downtown Claremont, snapping photos and discussing various aspects of taking photos.  He recently started his own wedding photography business, I hope that guy does big things or else I wouldn't stand a chance in the market.

On that note, I was contacted by someone in regards to my work.  She is interested in having me do her engagement photos with her fiancee this Summer.  I felt so flattered to be referred by my friend for this project, so hopefully everything pulls through and I'll be able to help them out! :)

One last thing, Instagram is pretty damn neat.

"What might have been lost"

Without a doubt, the best show I have ever seen.

With Sharon Van Etten and Bon Iver checked off, I now have Margot and possibly Thrice to look forward to. Also, people that go to shows just to obnoxiously talk through the songs are douche bags.

IWavid

Classic IPod, IPod Touch, IPhone4
I now own all three of these Apple products.  For a man that doesn't have a lot of money, this is pretty outrageous.  So now, I have one strictly for music.  The other is strictly for games since it is already jailbroken.  The IPhone does the rest.  I have been pretty far behind in technology since I barely own my first smartphone.  I'm slowly getting used to all the applications and shortcuts that the data plan provides, but I must admit, its pretty awesome.  I just hope I don't get too dependent on these advances, or else I would be a lost soul if they were to disappear on me, haha.

What kind of dream is this?

Everything is slowly coming back.  I think I'm forever stuck in this trap.  Help.

Warrior's Dash

So I overcame a relatively huge feat this weekend.  I challenged the Warrior's Dash with Lawrence, Brian, and Amy on Saturday.  A 5k obstacle course in Lake Elsinore that housed thousands of challengers.  The overall run wasn't so bad, but I was pretty winded after the water portion.  The finish line was satisfying, and I am looking forward to joining more of these races.
