Pacific Surfliner

I took my first Amtrak ride this past weekend. I tagged alongside with Vanessa, Krystal and Mrs. Navarro. Our destination was Old Town San Diego. It was a two hour ride and we arrived around 2pm. The weather was amazing and everyone was in a good mood for the most part, lol. We had lunch, watched a band perform, walked around souvenir shops and historical buildings, and chatted the night away with my new Baja sweater. The departing train was at 9pm, so we made our way back to the station with vines and homeless photoshoots.

The train on the way back was put to a stop due to some accident ahead. After 15 minutes of playing Go Fish, we were informed that it was a fatal accident ahead with a train hitting a truck. We were all in shock and had to wait for buses to come pick us up. What was suppose to be a two hour ride became a four hour expedition. On a positive note, we were lucky to have been seated in business class instead of coach, and it was a good day bonding with Vanessa's mom and sister.

Video Games #3

We are still gaming, and we are still gaming hard. Vanessa and I have taken a break from Minecraft, but we always find new games to latch on to. Whenever shes at my house we would take turns on Spelunky or Isaac, and whenever I'm at hers we would be competing in Bomberman or Family Feud. I don't think we will ever grow out of games, which is a definitely positive thing.

Lawrence and I are still continuing on our online co-op gaming whenever we have free time together, which is about 3 to 4 times a week. We've been on Borderlands for a few months now, and we recently started to revisit Diablo 3, which has found its way back to our hearts.

Minecraft is going to have a beautiful update soon, and when it does, we will all jump back in.

Team Heisenberg

Ever since the end of Deathnote and the Walking Dead, we have been stuck on a new show. This might be possibly the most addicting show for us, and it makes us root for the bad guy. Breaking Bad is almost coming to an end, and the past five seasons have been nothing less than spectacular. We are now patiently waiting for each Sunday night to come just to get even more addicted. She is rooting for Heisenberg, but I am rooting for justice.

Fair season

It was fair-filled weekend last week. On Saturday night, Marty informed us that the Orange Street Fair was back. I remember going to this fair very vividly, solely because it was the day after I met Vanessa for the first time. I spent a majority of that day thinking about her and telling Braimy, Lawry, and Amy that I had met someone.

Well either way, it has already been a year and it seemed fitting for me to take Vanessa there. We were joined by Steven, G, Rocke, and Marly. We arrived 90 minutes before the fair closed, so we took a quick walk looking at what country's food to eat, only to decide on fish and chips haha. The remainder of that night was spend at O'Haras bar, sweating away and people judging.

The next day was spontaneous, the destination was outdoors, but we weren't sure where exactly. So Vanessa and I decided on the L.A. Fair. It was opening weekend so the entrance was only 1 dollar prior to 1pm. We made it just in time, and we were able to visit the animals, eat regretfully, and complain, haha. The weather was brutal, and both of us were ready to leave two hours later. We felt so ashamed and astonished as to how other people can handle it while we feel so old and restless. We will be going to the fair again later this month, and it will be an evening trip.

Crystal Lake

Brian planned a spontaneous camping trip at Crystal Lake in Azusa for a day. Vanessa and I were able to join them later in the afternoon. Amongst the party were Lawry, Braimy, and Tuanolyn. Vanessa and I used our compact gear and remaining food rations as we laughed and joked about our miserable previous camping trip. The campsite was relaxing and close, and we spent most of our time playing games like Game of Things, Cards against Humanity, Taboo, and Animal Crackers. The night was calm and when the fire was put out, the stars were crystal clear. As for the tent, it was worm-free this time around, but the slope and rocks made it a very rough sleep. We ended our trip playing 20 Questions on the way down the mountain and had a feast at Lucky Elephant, where Carolyn was able to hook it up! I was happy that Vanessa and I were able to do this trip, I miss it.

#goodchoices

Braimy, Marty, Vanessa and I went to go see Gregory Allan Isakov at the Troubadour. It was a very interesting day to say the least. The music was great and Gregory sounded just as good live. Due to the lack of time, I cooked up some fish tacos at Vanessa's house for Vanessa and Marty prior to us leaving for L.A. At the venue, Vanessa granted me permission to drink, first time in a few months. Halfway through the show, I felt my energy being drained away. I had to excuse myself from the group so I can find a place to rest. I could barely see 5 feet in front of me and my body was giving out. I eventually made it to the restroom, and as I took a seat, I immediately felt better. It was the most bizarre feeling, and it lasted only about 10 minutes. The remainder of the show was good as I made it back to the group.

Vanessa bought two cds from the band prior to Gregory, and she came back telling me that the singer was there and he signed both of them. One was for her sister and one was for me. The one for me was written, "You are one lucky man, #goodchoices". He's right.

P.S: Kitchen table is not a place for cutting nails.
