A quarter years old.

I was genuinely content with life on Saturday night.  Thank you all so much for showing up to Yard House.  I couldn't have asked for a better turn out of friendly faces and good vibes.  I haven't gotten this drunk in a very long time, and as a result of that, I might have gotten too loveydubey with some of you, haha. It marks the first time that I can not for the life of me remember the last hours of the night. Thank you for all the birthday wishes, pictures, drinks, gifts, hugs, and joy.

Of all the money that e'er I had,
I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that e'er I've done,
Alas! it was to none but me.
And all I've done for want of wit
To mem'ry now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all.

It feels like Winter.

I was scheduled to work on my birthday, but I had requested to get off a little early.  Vanessa was done with work about an hour before me, so I told her to just go to my house since it is only five minutes away.  When she had texted me saying that she was in my room, I was ready to just leave work right then and there.  I'll admit, I might have maintained ten miles above the speed limit the whole drive home.  I rushed upstairs as soon as I entered the house, and there she was was, sitting there with Lilly and Calvin.

My ceiling was decorated with streamers and on my bed was a giant wrapped box tied with balloons.  I told the kids to leave the room for a little bit so I can open the gift with Vanessa alone.  I quickly ripped up the wrapping and opened the box to find a red balloon covered with hearts floating up.  As it hit the ceiling of my room, at my eye level was something attached to the string of the balloon.  They were tickets, and with a closer glance, they were tickets to Ed Sheeran!  Even Vanessa was surprised at how perfect it came out, haha.  Thank you darling, you clever little wookie.

She then took me out to dinner in Downtown Claremont. She told me it was one of her favorite restaurants, but I already knew where we were going, ;).  We went to Viva Madrid, a petite and a cozy decorated Spanish restaurant.  I never had authentic Spanish food before, so she led the way with the menu.  With sangria, five tapas and an entree, our tummies were satisfied. Thank you for everything love, you have made this my best birthday in twenty five years.

Cover up and cuddle.

It's Christmas Eve today. It's not even Christmas yet, but I am calling this one out as my favorite. It's pretty obvious as to why, but this year is going to be one of the first in a long while to end in a high note.

Vanessa came over yesterday. She brought over her gifts and wrapping materials and we spent nearly three hours wrapping and decorating them all, finishing just in time for our pre-Xmas dinner.  We met up with Braimy and Lawrence for Korean BBQ. I believe we did work at that place, considering the fact that we devoured four full plates of meat and three bottles of soju. We digested our meals outside my car and exchanged gifts! I got two sweaters, a hipster iPhone case, a watch, and more Polaroid film! Thanks buddies, we should make this Korean BBQ a yearly Xmas tradition haha.

Beneath the winter snow

Krystal and I managed to cover a song within our conflicting schedules.  This one is done just in time for the winter weather!  Enjoy.

Another one gone.

Found out that I failed another interview today. To make it worst, it's the second time this company rejected me. Oh well, next!

Lawrence and I started up our gaming nights again, with the new game being Saints Row 2. We play as ourselves in a city run by ridiculously themed gangs. Ill always find time to enjoy these game nights with Lawry.

Vanessa and I ventured out to Hollywood yesterday. We dropped my mom off at a relatives house and the two of us went to the heavily tourist attracted boulevard. We did some people watching, Xmas shopping, and ended with a dessert break.

Later that night we did our first arts and crafts night together. We bought materials from Jo-Anne's and made our Christmas sweaters for Erin's upcoming party. They are nearly complete and it is turning out to be rather cute haha. Pictures will come soon.

That's my guestimate

I went to my first NFL game yesterday!  It was the Chargers against the Bengals at the beautiful Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.  Vanessa found us an all day event that was hosted by Slater's 50/50.  We got to Slater's in Huntington Beach around 7:45 in the morning and the festivities began.  We got complimentary breakfast burritos and what we also thought was complimentary mimosas.  Around 9.15, the charter bus arrived and with a full bus of charger fans, we were ready to take off!  More beers were had during the ride up and more "bets" were made, haha.

"I know the stadium is gonna be over that hill, it looks familiar!"
"Baby, we aren't even going over that hill, we are turning left right now."

Tailgating was fun as well.  We had about two more hours to keep up our pregaming.  We were served our complimentary Slater burgers, which was fucking delicious!  A few moments after I devoured my food, Vanessa and I went to look for Erin and Matt.  Matt's uncle recognized me from afar since Erin gave him a heads up that a red looking Asian is coming to find us, haha.  It was good seeing the two of them, especially Matt, since I haven't seen that guy in over three years.  After an hour or so, we went back to our Slater's group and proceeded to head to the game.

I've never seen Vanessa dance so much, lets just say she was dancing at places that wasn't very appropriate lol.  The game was good, first half was very hot because we were at the bleachers, the second half, however, was sneaky.  We decided to leave our group and look for Erin and Matt, which had nearly front row seats.  We weren't sure how to get pass the security that was blocking the entrance to the floor level, but we didn't really care.  When the security finally did block us and asked for tickets, I pretended to search through my bag while Vanessa says, "Erin has it!"  So as I pretended to call Erin, the guard said, "It's okay guys, just go in." Lol it's that easy when you have a pretty girl by your side.  The rest of the game was watched with a closer view, but the Chargers ended up losing the game.

Overall, it was a very fun trip with my love.  There were lots of ups and downs though, I guess I should be used to it when alcohol gets involved though.  There was someone in the group that I had to meet and talk to, and I guess I wasn't ready for it cause I felt extremely uncomfortable.  I got my dear to be mad at me for about an hour yesterday at the game.  I dropped my phone, resulting with a huge crack on the screen.  The ride home and dinner wasn't our shining moment either.  I still don't really understand why it happened that way. You did a little funny/embarrassing situation and you were mad at me for not supporting you.  I guess I'm still learning about you, and about us.

And in silence I watch on from the bastion.
Entranced, I make myself look away.
