One thousand miles.

I was only 40 miles short of hitting 1,000 miles within three days. Driving to San Francisco is always overwhelming no matter how many times I've done it.  This one was a much shorter trip, and it was obviously very rushed.  Lots of old faces in each stop, and plenty of the usual catch-up conversations.  My cousins always propose the idea of me moving in with them to work with my uncle.  I doubt that will ever happen.  The main issue before leaving for this trip was spending the entire weekend with my brother.  Jason didn't end up going because of the kids, so it was only Sean and I on the way up.  It wasn't so bad, we mainly conversed about common interests and impersonal topics.  This trip turned out a lot smoother than I had anticipated.  My uncle was in pretty bad shape, but he seems to be recovering.  Seeing his condition and his behavior reminded me of my father, which everyone we visited kept reminding of.  Best wishes to you, and to the rest of the SF family.
