First impressions and introductions were made yesterday. The training began and my workspace was assigned. It was a mess in there, with papers everywhere and the computer desktop was flooded with icons. Half of the people seemed to be quite unhappy to meet me, while the other half looked like living zombies. My expected workload is strenuous, not because of the amount, but by the pressure. There are multiple new softwares that I need to grow comfortable with and I am given a week's time to learn it all.
After two full days, I was already sick of it. Sick of the programs, the paperwork, the driving, and the people. No one talks. You'd only hear vocals when drivers come in or when phone calls are made. I was already given some attitude by my boss, and he rejected my request for time-off for my pre-planned events. Welcome to the real fucking world David.
On the bright-side, I have my own office and a shared secretary, haha.
Sincerely,
David Wong
